It began on February 18, 2020. After years of informally discussing issues regarding racism and white supremacy as well as volunteering in various leadership positions with arts organizations who’ve been committed to anti-racist work, Ask Dear Nexus was born during Black History Month.
The mission:
To dismantle white supremacy one question at a time.
Starting as just a moderate presence and flow of content created and curated, over the following weeks and months, and into Pride and Global Black Lives Matter protests, sparked by the then recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and Ahmaud Arbery, the need for conversations and work that were founded in curiosity and candor grew.
And so did the services and programs of Ask Dear Nexus.
With a dedicated website launched on June 20, 2020, Ask Dear Nexus provides individual coaching, organizational consulting, and community gathering, in addition to relevant content creation and curation.
Ask Dear Nexus aims to be a valuable resource for anyone committed to anti-racism in their own lives, careers, and communities, especially white allies and accomplices as well as non-Black Indigenous and People of Color.
